I thought it be easier to put the files and tips in one thread rather then search around for them - i only have the following 4 Option files I havent tested any of these files yet but all have great feedback and every set come with instructions and developers name id. How to install First of all, you will need a version of WinRAR to extract the folder from the.rar file, Once you have extracted the file you should have a folder that is simply called PS3. The island athol fugard pdf. Now simply drag that folder onto a usb memory stick. Once that is done insert the usb memory stick into your PS3. Click to expand.Download WinRar from and install it on your computer. Download the Von Option file from.
When it has downloaded open up the file in WinRar and extract the contents to a memory stick. Put the memory stick in your ps3 and go into Saved Data Utility, Click on USB Device and copy all the files onto your ps3. (took me ages) For the chants, go to music in the ps3 and create a playlist called KONAMIPES (make sure there is no space at the end because the ps3 automatically puts a space). Copy all the chants to the playlist. Load PES and edit each team with their chant!! Download WinRar from and install it on your computer.

Click to expand. There's no quick way of putting all the data on the PS3 unfortunately which is a right pain. You can do it with music (copy more than 1 file at a time) but not with Save Data, makes no sense to me. After you download the file to your PC and unzip/extract it you'll see a folder called 'Von Option File 1.06', click on that and there will be another file called 'Von Option File 1.06', click on that again and you'll see a file called 'PS3'. Copy and paste that to your USB stick. If you don't want the chants (they're useless IMO) you can click on the 'PS3' file and delete them before you copy and paste to the USB stick.

Click to expand.+1 Here. Totally agree. Played both and would say maybe preferred FIFA slightly for one player but ONLY if playing the occasional game. Masterleague on pro-evo is really good. For one vs one and especially for any more than that it's pro-evo all the way imo.
It is worth mentioning that on-line can still have problems re lag though. If you want a quicker game you could even get pro2008 which is a dribble fest but lacks some of the newer features We've had 6 players on one side vs. The computer and any other combination you can think of. Best night in for the lads I can think of and everyone gets to have a go. 6 on one side can get a bit lonely r.e. Getting the ball but you can imagine what it's like when you all combine in a sweet counter attack and slot one in.
It's a team celebration madness I like FiFA, but it still misses the controlability of pro-evo. It definately looks better and plays more fluidly but I think it lacks depth. On the other foot Konami take the p.

out of loyal fans by releasing games that are not much better than their predecessors with laggy on-line play. The basic football engine of pro evo is still way better though (in my opinion which is right and anyone that disagrees is wrong ). I 1 billion% agree with all the comments about the von option file. The creaters of this option file are the nuts and deserve some major props. I used the v1.04 file however I believe it's now up to v1.06.
When they release von they release a full file and an update from a previous von, so I doubt there's any overwriting. I have found personally that sometimes the instructions are a little unfulfilling and I recently had to send my mate some instructions for updating his PES and I've tweaked the instructions.txt a bit so if anyone wants it gis a shout and I'll upload the.txt file. I think BAL mode differs depending on where you bought your game. I have the UK version bought from Amazon.co.uk. It gives me the English, Spanish, Italian and French leagues aswell as the Dutch league which for some reason includes teams like Spartak Moscow and Porto (I think this is because that league only has 17 teams IRL). To change the league names you can do this in Edit mode for the entire game in Leagues for A, B, C and D, and this will show up in BaL, however the game is set to give you 4 'random' leagues and these are not ones you can choose manually.
I've played over 15 seasons on BaL with 2 players and I can tell you it's deffo not. Connect the USB stick to your PS3 and then copy the files one by one to the Save Data bit. I play BaL alot, I'm in my fourth season with my 2nd character, played 9 with my first. I think you have to check the level you are playing in in BaL. But also, remember that the idea of BaL is that you play for a team that is in it's relevent spot in ability, so Man City for example will not be that good (I know, I played for them for 4 seasons). Exhibition mode is alot easier to play because it's not about how one player plays. I'll give you an example, if you misplace alot of passes your teammates will be more reluctant to pass to you, same with if you miss shots they won't pass to you in shooting postions.
So the team will play worse because good openings may be missed due to this. The better you get the more you will want to leave is actually closer to the truth. I've found that the team rarely improves with you and so transferring is better. This is especially the case when you move from league to league as you never get an offer from a top 4 team in another league, it's always a mid table team which you then have to play well in and transfer mid-season (or try to win them the title if you prefer - I won Ligue1 with Bordeaux). BaL is more about you than the team, it doesn't matter if they win as long as you get 7.0 for ratings you'll get better and get better offers.
One question though: So, there are a lot of option files here on this forum, for every platform there is. Seems like everyone's making their own, same thing was with previous releases. Obviously, it's not that hard to make ur own patch, even online. I never bothered to create my own, i was and still am perfectly satisfied with transfer patches. If I understand this correctly, you can also edit players ratings, abilities, yes? So my question is, how many players are out there with custom patches, they created for themselves, with high player ratings? It's not that hard to create one, konami has no online anti-cheat system (:x), and from time to time im thinking, how the fu.k is he so fast?
Could it be because of these kinds of things? Actually I'm pretty sure it is, what I'm wondering is, wth should i still be playing this stupid game then if everyone cheats? Where's the fun in that?

Where's the fun in that? Yes you can edit the player stats and abilities in the option file - but that wont carry through to online play (online play uses default stats even if you change them) Unfortunately the same is true for kits and squads - Option file updates for kits and teams are only useful offline - so it's up to Konami to sort out transfer updates for those playing online. Yes, yes, i know about the option file, and that you need different patch for online, but nevertheless there are tons of 'online patches' for pes6 (i skipped 2008:p, actually i own it, but played very little), and quite frankly i don't think all of them are 'fair' or unedited.
Sorry - I just got confused - thought you meant people using this kinda file to cheat online. Yeah I agree - people have used patches that alter the actually game files - which can give them an advantage online. I saw it with PES 6 too (an I skipped 2008 too). Unfortunately, I'm sure we'll eventually see muppets cheating with PES 2009 patches too.
